CranSEDS is Cranfield University’s student-led space society and part of the UK’s wider network supporting space exploration and development. The group brings together students interested in aerospace, engineering and space science, creating opportunities to work on real technical projects such as rocket development, hybrid propulsion, satellite design, rover systems and in-orbit servicing concepts.
Alongside project work, CranSEDS is active in outreach and education, running workshops, school activities and STEM events to inspire future space professionals. It serves as a dynamic community where students collaborate, gain hands-on experience and contribute to innovative space ideas and missions.
