From Mission to End of Life: Rethinking Satellite Design for a Resilient Space Economy

As reliance on space infrastructure grows, resilience must be designed in from the start. This roundtable will explore how modularity, reusability, and end of life planning can contribute to a more robust and usable space environment. With perspectives from defence, government, and high potential businesses, the discussion will examine how requirements, standards, and procurement approaches could accelerate a circular space economy, particularly in LEO. Why this works – It grounds circular economy concepts in design and procurement, which tends to resonate more strongly with policymakers and defence audiences.

PLEASE NOTE: This session will be held off the show floor, in the South Gallery Meeting Room 20.
